Estate Gift to Church Helps Local Ministry Flourish
Having been delivered from years of addiction and substance abuse, Peggy NeeSmith came back to the church and found her Savior waiting with open arms. After NeeSmith recommitted her life to the Lord, He set her free not only from these addictions, but also free to be the woman He wanted her to be. Once the Lord “got ahold” of NeeSmith, there was no turning back.
"The Lord never wastes any experience." says NeeSmith's pastor Danny Williams. The Lord called NeeSmith, using her own past experience and deliverance, to start a ministry serving women who are in the grip of drug and alcohol addiction. The Dream Center in Vidalia, Georgia was birthed from this calling.
The road has not been easy for NeeSmith and The Dream Center. However, as NeeSmith says, "We pray, and it happens." Through funds from an estate gift left to First Baptist Church Lyons Georgia and other supporters, The Dream Center has been able to see nearly 50 women delivered from drug and alcohol addiction.
